Good things are coming to patients at Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas. Kendra Scott's Kendra Cares program is giving a $25,000 grant to help pay for a full-time art therapist at the hospital.
The Austin jewelry company's Kendra Cares program has had a long relationship with children's hospitals and locally Dell Children's. It has been bringing art therapy to children's hospitals around the country by offering its color bar to hospitals. The color bar allows patients and their families to create their own jewelry.

Last year, Kendra Scott employees put together four playhouses through a Habitat for Humanity program. The playhouses went to Dell Children's, the Ronald McDonald House across the street, and two families with Upbring.
Kendra Cares also donated a Kendra Scott-themed room to the Dell Children's Blood and Cancer Center.
To celebrate the $25,000 grant, the jewelry company is hosting Dell Children's staff and patients and their families at its flagship store on South Congress on Thursday night for a pizza party with art and music.
