Monday

Rosie Flores at Waterloo Records. A cornerstone of Austin’s roots-music scene since the 1980s, the San Antonio native is classified as “a rockabilly and country music artist” if you look her up on Wikipedia. But her new record “Simple Case of the Blues” reminds that her range reaches well beyond those limits. 5 p.m. Monday. 600 N. Lamar Blvd. waterloorecords.com. — Peter Blackstock

Tuesday

Tiki Tuesdays at Hotel San Jose. Summer means the return of one seasonal series to the South Congress hotel. Swing by the lounge every Tuesday in June, July and August for a cold drink (did someone say frosé?), chips and guacamole, and bask in the glorious surf tunes of Austin's favorite surf and psych band the Avocados. The music runs from 7 to 9 p.m., though the event starts at 5 p.m. 1316 S. Congress Ave. sanjosehotel.com/restaurant-event/tiki-tuesday

Come early to spread out your blanket on the Zilker Park lawn. Como Las Movies opens. 8 p.m. Wednesday. 2100 Barton Springs Road. acl-radio.com/blues19.
