Dreamy Austin post-rock outfit, Explosions in the Sky, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year with an extensive tour that mysteriously excludes an Austin date. The North American leg of the tour was announced in April, and it includes a two-month run that kicks off in Mesa, Arizona on Sept. 11 and wraps in Oklahoma City on Oct. 24. The band has added a European leg to the tour, but there are no Texas dates currently listed.

The band's official 20th anniversary date was on July 4 and to celebrate the group took to Twitter to announce plans to release deluxe remastered and repackaged editions of their debut album, "How Strange, Innocence," which is available on vinyl for the first time since 2004, and "The Rescue," which will be available on vinyl and digital platforms for the first time ever.

Hi everyone,
Today marks the official 20th anniversary of our band.

The band is also reissuing some of their favorite designs from their longtime album artist Esteban Rey on t-shirts and other merch. The albums and related merchandise are set for an Aug. 16 release, but pre-orders are available now.

In the meantime, we're crossing our fingers that an Austin tour date is still in the works.
