Haven't gotten your Wilco fix in a couple of years? The last time the acclaimed Chicago indie-roots band played Austin was 2017 at Bass Concert Hall. But they're coming back for two shows at ACL Live on Oct. 26-27, the final dates of a three-week fall tour of North America after a summer full of European dates.
Tickets, $49.50-$69.50, go on sale Friday, June 7, via the venue's website. No opening act has yet been announced. This is the first time the band has played ACL Live since 2011, the venue's opening year. Other Austin appearances since then have included the Austin City Limits Music Festival, Stubb's, and a 2015 Waterloo Records in-store.
There's no new Wilco album out at the moment, but the press release announcing the tour teased that "more Wilco news will be announced in the following weeks." The band seems due for another record; their last, "Schmilco," came out in 2016. Band leader Jeff Tweedy has released three solo albums since then.
