For this one night only, Tyson will share the greatest hits and latest discoveries in the universe of this past year. He will also discuss what bends the mind the most in the cosmos, including such cool and strange things as black holes, dark matter and diamond stars. Are multiverses real? What about wormholes? Find out at this engaging talk.
2. John Hiatt acoustic at Paramount Theatre
8 p.m. June 4. $25-$50. 713 Congress Ave. austintheatre.org
Hiatt has been one of America’s best songwriters since the 1970s, and he’s played Austin often over the years with full-band support. An acoustic setting is ideal for his more heartfelt material and might be cause for him to pull out some songs he hasn’t played on recent tours. No doubt he'll also play pieces from his most recent album, "The Eclipse Sessions," as well. — Peter Blackstock
