Vampire Weekend, H.E.R., and a double-bill taping with Patty Griffin and Steve Earle have been added to the schedule for season 45 of the "Austin City Limits" television show, the program announced this week.

Vampire Weekend's Aug. 22 taping will follow the New York rockers' Aug. 20-21 ticketed shows at ACL Live, the same venue where tapings for the TV show are done. The band's new album album "Father of the Bride," their first in six years, topped the charts on its first week of release earlier this month. This will be the band's second appearance on the show, following their debut in 2013.

Tapings with two artists on the same night don't happen very often, but the Griffin/Earle pairing on July 2 will be one of two in July, preceding a previously announced July 30 taping with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. Austin singer-songwriter Griffin has been touring behind a self-titled album released in March. Earle will be in town that week to play Willie Nelson's Fourth of July Picnic and has a new tribute album to the late, great Texas songwriter Guy Clark. Both artists are appearing on the show for the fifth time.

July 8 brings Grammy-winning R&B artist H.E.R., who first rose to prominence at age 14 while performing under her given name, Gabi Wilson. Now 21, she won two Grammys this year behind her 2017 self-titled album for RCA Records. This will be her first "Austin City Limits" appearance.
