Well, this is insanely cool.

Hanif Abdurraqib’s book “Go Ahead in the Rain: Notes to A Tribe Called Quest” (UT Press) is easily one of the year’s best books about music, a smart, thoughtful, deeply felt look at one of the best acts (not just hip-hop, but pop music in general) of all time.

Abdurraqib will be in conversation with “Black Panther” comics author/critic/human dope jam Evan Narcisse at 7 p.m. May 22 at the Central Branch of the Austin Public Library (710 West Cesar Chavez St.).

This insanely awesome thing is free and open to the public.
