So the fine people at TV Guide noted that Rob Lowe, who has been superhumanly handsome for literal decades, will be starring in “9-1-1: Lone Star,” a spin-off of Ryan Murphy’s show “9-1-1.”
Said spin-off will be set in Austin. Lowe plays a *checks article* “sophisticated New York cop who, along with his son, re-locates to Austin, and must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in his own life.”
Listen to our "Game of Thrones" podcast:
That begs the question: Will our fair city actually co-star with Lowe in the series? TV Guide went with the headline “Rob Lowe Is Moving to Texas in Fox’s 9-1-1 Spin-Off Lone Star,” which if you read it like some of our Facebook followers did, could lead you to think that the former "Parks and Recreation" star will be literally moving to the Lone Star State.
Except that is not true. According to a publicist I spoke with this morning, "9-1-1: Lone Star" will be filmed in Los Angeles, not Austin. However, the publicist promised to let me know if the show does any filming in the real-life Austin for “scenery.”
Well. This is going to be fun.
