Zydeco! Conjunto! Polka! Can’t do any of them right without a squeezebox.

Head to the Bullock Texas State History Museum (1800 Congress Ave.) 1-5 p.m. Saturday for the Big Squeeze 2019 Finals, where Texas Folklife will present the culmination of its annual accordion contest. The event is free and open to the public. Check out these masters at work inside the museum lobby under the rotunda.

According to event organizers, “Big Squeeze finalists will perform before the judges and the public, followed by a master accordionist showcase performance.” There will be a showcase performance by Cedryl Ballou with the Zydeco Trendsetters and Conjunto Cats.
