Popular Austin pop-culture art space Mondo Gallery’s “80 Years Of Batman” celebrates the history of the Caped Crusader, along with his allies and infamous rogues gallery of villains, with eighteen classic, iconic and fan-favorite Batman comic book cover images produced as screen-printed posters.

Opening night for “80 Years Of Batman” will be held 7 to 10 p.m. May 17, and the show will run through May 25 during regular gallery hours (noon to 6 p.m., Tuesday-Saturday) at Mondo Gallery (4115 Guadalupe St.).

Screen printied images will include such covers as:

• Detective Comics #27 (1939)

• Detective Comics #367 (1967)

• Batman #251 (1973)

• Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (1986)

• A Death In The Family (1988)
