The Texas Conference for Women is doing something different for its 20th conference this fall. It's becoming a two-day event.

Opening night on Oct. 23 includes "Eat, Pray Love" author Elizabeth Gilbert and Austin musician Jackie Venson. A full-day conference follows on Oct. 24 with Amanda Southworth, founder of AnxietyHelper; Carla Harris, author of "Expect to Win," Tiffany Jana, a diversity and inclusion management consultant; Amy Gallow, a specialist in conflict and workplace dynamics; Amber Rae, a visual artist and writer, and Fran Hauser, an expert on women's leadership.

The opening night event is $40. Tickets for the second day are $225. It's all happening at the Austin Convention Center.

Tickets go on sale 9 a.m. on May 21 at txconferenceforwomen.org.
