Billed as an event “celebrating Austin's environmental awareness, natural beauty, musicians, and companies who care," the second annual Strings in the Park at Central Market North and will feature Shinyribs mastermind Kevin Russell joining host and Strings Attached ringleader Will Taylor. The show, originally scheduled for May 12, has been postponed until June 2.
The free event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with music beginning at 3 p.m., and is co-sponsored by HEB and Biointegrity, a local organization addressing global environmental issues. Other sponsors will offer food and beverage snacks. The concert will feature Taylor's original arrangements of songs written byt Russell, who'll be joined by a string quartet plus upright bass, voices, horns and percussion.
