Magnolia Cafe:Both locations offer traditional diner fare like pancakes and sandwiches, but this Austin eatery goes the extra mile with Tex-Mex, pasta and other house specials. (2304 Lake Austin Blvd.; 1920 S. Congress Ave.)

Star Seeds Cafe: The cafe is located just northeast of the University of Texas campus and features breakfast all day, vegetarian options and to-go service. The cafe also hosts local artists' work. (3101 N. Interstate 35)

Las Cazuelas:The restaurant on Cesar Chavez specializes in Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes and includes an extensive salsa bar. (1701 E. Cesar Chavez St.)

La Mexicana: If you've got a craving for sweets late at night, this bakery sells Mexican-style pastries. And in case you want a meal, tacos, tortas and other plates are on the menu. (1924 S. 1st St.)

Bennu:For anyone needing a 24/7 coffee shop while on the study grind, Bennu's two locations offers food items like pastries and pizzas sourced from local businesses. (2001 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.; 515 S. Congress Ave.)

The Buzz Mill: While known mostly as a lumberjack-themed coffee shop, Buzzmill's property also houses multiple food trucks and the bar also stocks various snack pastries. (1505 Town Creek Dr.)
