"Amazing Grace" with LBJ Presidential Library. The Alamo Drafthouse hosts a special, one-day-only screening of the Aretha Franklin film in partnership with the LBJ Presidential Library, whose new exhibit "Motown: The Sound of Young America" opens this month. "Amazing Grace" is one of Franklin's most famous works and the bestselling gospel record of all time. The whole thing was recorded live in a church over the course of two days, and luckily, legendary actor and filmmaker Sydney Pollack was there to capture it. 7 p.m. April 23. $12. The Hop Stone Series Party at Craft Pride. Get psyched for the arrival of "Avengers: Endgame" with this series of beers, so limited in Austin that Craft Pride is the only place where all of them will be available. Ingenious Brewing, in the Houston area, has a beer named for each gemstone in the "Avengers" movies, such as the Soul Milk Stout with chocolate and orange — plus a triple IPA called Infinity Hopped. Sierra Nevada Tap Takeover with Ken and Brian Grossman. That's right, Austinites are in for a real treat. Ken Grossman, the founder of one of the country's most preeminent breweries and his son, second-generation brewer Brian, are headed to Austin for a tap takeover at Easy Tiger's Linc location. Have a Sierra Nevada pint, such as the Hazy Little Thing IPA, while learning more about the California brewery. A total of six Sierra Nevada brews will be available to order. 5 to 8 p.m. April 23. Emily King at Antone’s. The triumphant new release “Scenery” is a dazzling collection that showcases King’s uncanny knack for refined songcraft. She creates artful compositions that beckon the listener with palpable urgency. Her breathy voice shifts from wistful whisper singing over jazzy club grooves to soaring, gospel-inflected soul.
