Arguably the most massive superhero movie ever, "Avengers: Endgame," hits theaters this week — and one Texas brewery has released a series of beers that could help to amplify our excitement for the film and remind us of some crucial plot points to boot.
Houston's Ingenious Brewing created a series of beers that are named for each of the Infinity Stones. These, you may remember, were the things all-time big baddie Thanos wanted most so he could eliminate half of the planet's population (which turned out to include some of our beloved Avengers). Because of their beer styles, we're pretty much going to want the Hop Stone beers as much as Thanos wanted the Infinity Stones.
Thankfully, Austinites can taste them on Tuesday. Craft Pride is one of three bars in Texas that will have all of Ingenious' Hop Stone brews on tap that evening, before screening "Avengers: Infinity War."
In addition to the stouts and New England-style double IPAs that have taken the names of the Infinity Stones, Craft Pride taps a particularly coveted Ingenious beer nodding to the series as a whole. The Infinity Hopped Triple IPA (featuring no less than six hops) sounds about as epic as the upcoming superhero showdown is sure to be.
Here are each of the beers to expect.
Time, a barrel-aged stout with vanilla beans and cereal marshmallows
Reality, a double New England-style IPA with blood orange
Mind, a double New England-style IPA dry-hopped four times with Citra and Mosaic
Soul, a milk stout with chocolate and orange
Space, a double New England-style IPA with blueberry and papaya
Power, a 14% Russian imperial stout brewed with coffee and cacao
Infinity Hopped Triple IPA with 6 hops
They will go on tap starting at 6 p.m., and "Avengers: Infinity War" starts playing at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. The event is free to attend, but make sure you RSVP at the Eventbrite link to guarantee your place.
