On Mother's Day weekend, Thai Fresh owner Jam Sanitchat is teaching a Mother's Day cooking class with her mother, Orawan Sanitchat, who lives in Bangkok, where Sanitchat grew up. 

The class will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, at St. John Studios, a new photography studio and event space from Austin photographer Jody Horton. 

Sanitchat and her mom will teach a few family dishes, including spicy glass noodles, pad ka prow and a green curry, while attendees enjoy brunch cocktails and vegan ice cream from the soon-to-open Gati ice cream shop.
