Bang bang on the door of the Bass Concert Hall, baby. The B-52s are coming to town.

The iconic (not using that term loosely) new wave band are about to embark on their 40th anniversary world tour. Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson will hit Austin on Aug. 22. They're set to play the University of Texas' concert hall, which does not have a tin roof, much less a rusted one. Berlin and OMD will join the band on this tour stop.

Tickets, $49.50-149.50, go on sale April 19 at 10 a.m. For more information, go to theb52s.com/tour or texasperformingarts.org.

And since it's only Tuesday, you should probably watch the "Love Shack" video.
