Single tickets for the Austin stop of the Broadway mega-smash “Hamilton” will go on sale at 10 a.m. April 12 for Bass Concert Hall performances slated for May 28-June 16.

Most tickets will be sold at TexasPerformingArts.org, although Texas Performing Arts will offer a limited number of tickets at its box office at Bass Concert Hall on the University of Texas campus.

Season subscribers already have their reserved seats. The deadline has passed, however, for subscribers to exchange tickets.

Single ticket prices will range from $79 to $189 with a select number of $539 premium seats available for all performances. Additional fees may apply.

To order single tickets online, visit TexasPerformingArts.org starting at 9:01 a.m. Friday to enter a virtual waiting room.

At 10 a.m. Friday, everyone in that waiting room will be assigned a random place in the queue.

After 10 a.m., everyone entering the waiting room for the first time will be added to the end of the queue.

If you are still in the queue when tickets become scarce or sell out, you’ll receive a digital notice.

It will save crucial time if you set up a Texas Performing Arts account in advance. Because once you reach the purchase page, you have eight minutes to complete your purchase.

You won’t be able to select specific seats, but you will be able to choose seating areas and prices.

To discourage scalping, there’s a limit of four tickets per household.

Important: Do not expect any refunds or exchanges.

If you are considering a gift, opt into mobile ticketing to transfer your tickets.

There are no group sales, discounts or waiting lists for “Hamilton.”

American Sign Language interpreted performances: 2 p.m. June 1 and 2 p.m. June 15. Audio described performance: 8 p.m. May 30.

Official Austin tickets are by no means cheap, but tickets purchased from other sources — resale is legal in Austin — are often at greatly inflated prices.

If you see a ticket going for many more hundreds or even thousands of dollars, you are looking at a ticket broker.

(This story has been updated to clarify how the digital waiting room will work on Friday.)
