New Braunfels' historic Gruene Hall traffics largely in Texas country dancehall music, but its storied reputation allows the venue to attract some major names across genres every now and again. Next month is a prime example: Within a single week, Gruene will feature shows by Melissa Etheridge on April 23, Boz Scaggs on April 24 and Tanya Tucker on April 26.

Tickets, on sale now via the venue's website, are $78.50 for Etheridge, $85 for Scaggs and $49.50 for Tucker.

All three acts bypassed Austin on this trip in favor of Gruene gigs, though they've made recent visits here. Scaggs took part in special celebrations in February, when he received the Texas Medal of the Arts at the Long Center, and last fall, when he helped induct Los Lobos into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame at ACL Live. Tucker performed at Nutty Brown Amphitheatre on the western outskirts of Austin last summer. Etheridge has played both Stubb's and ACL Live in the past few years in addition to performing at South by Southwest in 2014.
