Marketing and media company Culture Collide hosted some of the hottest day parties at the South by Southwest Music Festival last year, and the agency is set to return to Rainey Street again for 2019. On Friday, they rolled out the first of seven promised announcements, a run of day parties hosted by grunge footwear icon Dr. Martens.

The parties take place at the Container Bar from March 13 to 15 and feature a host of buzzy artists. Rapper Tierra Whack, whose release "Whack World" was heralded as one of the top hip-hop albums of 2018, takes top billing on March 13. March 14 features sprawling rock collective Broken Social Scene and the Joy Formidable, and indie rockers Japanese Breakfast and Cherry Glazerr are down to perform on March 15.

There will also be a Dr. Martens pop up shop at the party.

The day parties are free and open to the public (RSVP here), but priority admission will be given to SXSW badge holders, who do not need to RSVP.
