"Double Dare Live!" is coming to Austin. Why would we be excited about that?

Well, if you're a child of the 1980s and you dreamed of having the chance to have slime poured on you while competing against other kids in both trivia and physical challenges, you now have an opportunity to complete that dream through your children.

The original host of the Nickelodeon show, which ran from 1986-1989, Marc Summers will be there.

The show comes to the Bass Concert Hall. 7 p.m. April 7. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. and are $29.50-$186.50.

If you're attending the show, you have an opportunity to get chosen to be a contestant during the show. To do that, find the waiver at texasperformingarts.org. Bring it with you to the Registration Table before the show along with a valid ID and you and your family members will get a wristband that lets the show staff know you agree to be a contestant on stage should they pick you.

Good luck!
