There are not enough superlatives to describe the YMCA's Adventure for All Benefit.

Finest fall weather. Perfect indoor/outdoor venue at Fair Market on East Fifth Street. Terrific party layout with stations for food, drinks, gifts, games and a petting zoo scattered around a camp-out-style setting. Outstanding guests who engaged each other easily in conversation. First-rate, heart-pumping music by Shinyribs.

Optimal news about YMCA Camp Moody, an all-access 85-acre camp planned for Onion Creek, shared during a short program. Top-notch speech by philanthropist Ross Moody, whose family foundation has recently endowed other outdoorsy projects for Waller Creek Conservancy, Pease Park Conservancy and the Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria. The foundation gave $6.25 million of the more than $15 million raised so far for the Y camp.

To top it all off: A deeply moving video about Tessa Brown, who learned to swim at the Y though she has only one of four limbs. Turns out it was made by Statesman talent Ana Ramirez! Of course it was.
