One local restaurant has created a life-size gingerbread house that up to a dozen people can dine within this holiday season. Two Austin bars house Christmas-themed pop-ups. Just when you thought our dining scene couldn't get any more festive, now a restaurant on Rainey Street will transform into a snow globe.

Hotel Van Zandt's restaurant Geraldine's is turning its fourth-floor pool deck into a life-size snow globe starting Dec. 19-22. That's when a snow machine, disco ball and holiday decor will help to "transport guests to to a winter wonderland complete with marshmallows for roasting and holiday cocktails for toasting," according to a news release. The special menu will be curated by head pastry chef Yolanda Diaz and bar director Caitlyn Jackson.

Here are the holiday cocktails you can expect.

PepperMint Patty: Grey Goose Vodka, White Chocolate Godiva, Crème de Menthe

Drunkin’ Elf: Sailor Jerry, spiced pear, cinnamon demerara, cardamom bitters, condensed milk, topped with vanilla and nutmeg

Stargazer: Fords Gin, Blue Curacao, lime, egg white, mint

Frostbite: Hangar One Vodka, Chareau Aloe, crème de menthe, lemon

Hail Santa: Banks 5 Island Rum, allspice dram, Branca Menta, red wine, lime, coconut rim

And would a holiday celebration at Geraldine's be complete without live music? Of course not. To that end, each of the four nights will have live music performances on the restaurant's indoor stage: BettySoo at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, the Peterson Brothers at 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 20, Motown Christmas with Tje Austin at 9 p.m. Dec. 21 and KP & the Boom Boom at 10:30 p.m. Dec. 22.

Admission is free on all four nights; desserts are complimentary and drinks available for purchase. Hotel Van Zandt is located at 605 Davis St. For more information, visit geraldinesaustin.com.
