The House of Torment folks don't just want to scare the daylights out of you during the Halloween season. With "Krampus: A Haunted Christmas" returning to Austin in December, they are also delighted to terrify you during Christmastime, too.

On Dec. 7 and 8 only, the site of the House of Torment's three haunted attractions will be transformed to make fright out of your usual holiday merriment. The "Krampus" show tells the story of Krampus, according to a news release, "a nightmarish demon who has kidnapped not only the bad, but also the good children at Christmas."

It's a tale you might have heard before, if you've attended the past couple of Krampus outings, but "this year, a new chapter unfolds as Krampus and Jack Frost team up to haunt all the little girls and boys. Jack Frost, known for being the ultimate trickster, is here to have those warm Christmas hearts succumb to his ice," according to the release.

Once you're there, you can also participate in mini escape games, drink your scares away at the Torment Tavern, grab a photo op with Krampus himself and chow down on holiday treats.

Sounds like a chilly, boozy evening, right? If you're into that — into an "incredible bone-chilling holiday event" — then make sure to grab tickets. General admission is $26.99; additional options, with various perks, range from $36.99-$99.99. Grab your tickets at krampushauntedchristmas.com/austin.
