Road trip alert: The Rolling Stones are bringing their 2018 "No Filter" tour to Texas next spring, with an April 28 date announce for Houston's NRG Stadium. It's one of 13 U.S. dates between April 20 and June 21 that the band announced yesterday.

Tickets go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Nov. 30, with a fan-club pre-sale event beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 28, via the venue's Ticketmaster page. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.

There's lots of gaps between the dates announced yesterday. The Houston show is the third of the tour (after Florida dates April 20 and April 24), but after Houston is a nine-day gap until the next show in Arizona. Entertainment publication Variety noted that "additional shows seem likely, even with the Stones’ average of 3-4 days between shows."

AT&T Stadium in Dallas seems the more likely add; bands such as U2 and Jeff Lynne's Electric Light Orchestra did the state's two major sports stadiums in 2017 and 2018, respectively. But don't entirely count out a repeat of the memorable show the Stones played in Austin's Zilker Park in October 2006. The Stones shows are presented by Live Nation, the parent company of Austin's C3 Presents, which puts on the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Zilker Park.
