Grammy Award-winning country star Chris Stapleton will headline next year's Mack, Jack & McConaughey gala at ACL Live on April 25, 2019, the children's charities fundraising effort announced Tuesday.
Tickets, $99-$269, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, via the venue's website.
Stapleton followed up his triple-platinum 2015 solo debut "Traveler" with last year's "From a Room" Volumes 1 and 2, which went platinum and gold, respectively. He has won five Grammys, plus seven awards each from the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association.
Mack, Jack & McConaughey was founded in 2013 by Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey, former Texas football coach and current ESPN analyst Mack Brown, and country-rock singer-songwriter Jack Ingram, along with their wives, Camila Alves, Sally Brown and Amy Ingram. The two-day event includes a golf tournament, runway fashion show and luncheon.
Beneficiaries of the 2019 event are CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, just keep livin Foundation and the Rise School of Austin. Since its first year, MJ&M has raised millions of dollars for organizations that help children.
In a statement, McConaughey said that Stapleton's "unique blend of country, classic rock and Southern soul will captivate music fans and give them a night to remember.”
Brown praised Stapleton and his wife, singer-songwriter Morgane Stapleton, for their participation. "His support means so much to us," Brown said in the announcement. "Sally and I are truly excited to welcome Chris and Morgane to the city we call home and appreciate their commitment to our mission to change kids' lives."
Ingram added: "Every year MJ&M is honored to host some of the greatest names in music and this year is no exception."
