Christopher Kimball knows a thing or two about testing recipes.

The bow tie-wearing founder and longtime face of America's Test Kitchen left the company a few years ago to start Milk Street Kitchen, a new food media website that already has a magazine, a radio show, a TV show and a few cookbooks. 

At 7 p.m. Tuesday, Kimball will stop by BookPeople for a book signing and talk about "Milk Street: Tuesday Nights: More than 200 Simple Weeknight Suppers that Deliver Bold Flavor, Fast."

The Tuesday Nights name comes from a regular column in the magazine that features recipes with "big, bold flavors, but the cooking is quick and easy — simple enough for the middle of the week."
