A fixture in West Lake Hills since 1985, Trianon Coffee closed at the end of last year after being pushed out of its longtime location in the West Woods Shopping Center. But it wasn't gone for long — Trianon announced on social media yesterday that its new spot, just down the street from the old one, is now open.

At 3654 Bee Cave Rd., a little more than half a mile from the original, the new shop doesn't yet "have all the details done," but the full espresso bar and all coffee offerings await thirsty customers, according to a Twitter post. It has taken longer than expected for Trianon to complete construction on the site, which used to house Tangra Elite Athletics. But all the updates are worth it: Trianon can now offer "a considerably expanded lunch menu," according to a blog post on the Trianon website, as well as breakfast tacos all day long.

Another draw of the new, larger space is that there will be twice the number of conference rooms that community meetings and groups can book. And the owners, Michael and Susan Sexton, also wanted to give a fresh look to the coffee shop — making it "even more inviting as a place to simply 'hang out,'" according to the blog post. High Contrast Design House was in charge of designing the new look. But you can rest assured that one important aspect of the coffee shop is still recognizable.

"One of the things that WON'T be changing about Trianon Coffee is our people. We are thrilled to be welcoming back many of the staff you know and love," according the blog post, cleverly titled "Trianon's Fresh New Grounds."

A tenth location of Summer Moon Coffee Bar, specializing in wood-fire-roasted organic and fair trade coffee, moved into Trianon's old spot, after the strip mall received new ownership, the Maryland-based First Washington Realty Inc., that declined to renew Trianon's lease.
