"Nevermore: the Imaginary Life and Mysterious Death of Edgar Allan Poe." The Austin revival of this haunting play about one of America's most iconic writers, as produced by Doctuh Mistuh Productions and Penfold Theatre Company, blurs the line between fact and fiction, exploring the events that shaped Poe’s character and career. 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 5 p.m. Sunday, with additional 8 p.m. Halloween performance, through Nov. 10. $15-$30. Pisco Party: Yuyo's One-Year Anniversary Party. Since opening last year, Yuyo has made its mark with vibrant interpretations of Peruvian cuisine. To commemorate the anniversary, the Manor Road restaurant will have a party with a complimentary pisco tasting, live music, $1 signature bites and all-night happy hour prices. Brown Sabbath at Mohawk outdoor. Austin’s premier Latin funk ensemble never intended their Ozzie-assimilating side project to grow into a three-year endeavor loaded with two album releases and extensive touring, but the people went crazy for their worldly renditions of classic metal jams. Last year, they set the project aside to focus on originals, but they’ll be back to summon darkness for a special Dia de los Muertos show. Moonflower Herb Festival. The Zilker Botanical Gardens event gathers herbalists and herb lovers together to celebrate and share their experiences with regional plant medicines and plant healing. Guided Garden Tour. Tour the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center’s gardens and trails with a knowledgeable volunteer docent, learning about native plants and the history and architecture of the center. The Natural Gardener's Customer Appreciation Party. To celebrate a year of wondrous growth, the Natural Gardener is throwing a party with live music and festivities.
