Austinites are going to need to find an alternative to Starbucks if they want to get their caffeine fix Monday. All Austin locations of the coffee empire have suspended coffee/espresso service until the boil-water notice is lifted. While they won’t be serving handcrafted beverages out of “an abundance of caution,” the stores do remain open.

“We know our stores are a gathering place for the community, so our stores in the Austin area are open and will continue to be open and offer bottled and packaged goods to our customers until further notice,” a Starbucks representative said.

Austin Water sent out a boil-water notice early Monday morning, and restaurants and cafes have responded to the situation with some altering hours and offerings and others closing completely for the day.
