The "Star Wars" theme blasted right on time at 11 a.m. Friday as gates opened for the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Music Festival at Zilker Park.

Sunny skies but not-too-high temperatures — mid-70s at entry, with mid-80s expected late afternoon — greeted the few hundred early arrivals who walked and dashed into the park at the opening of the gates.

Tonight's big headliner is Paul McCartney, whose first-weekend performance delighted a huge number of the 75,000 who attended day one. A similar throng is expected when he takes the park's east stage, with the city skyline in the background, at 7:45 p.m.
