The Texas Longhorns went to Dallas last weekend, and that turned out pretty well. So this weekend they're bringing a little of Dallas to Austin in the form of alt-country band Old 97's, who'll headline Saturday's Longhorn City Limits concert before the Horns' game with Baylor.
The music series, new this year, presents local and regional artists at the LBJ Library Lawn across from Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium a few hours before each home game in 2018. Admission is free.
Arrive early this week for an 11:15 a.m. hourlong set by Austin country-rocker Django Walker, son of Texas legend Jerry Jeff Walker. The Old 97's follow, from 12:45 p.m. to 2 p.m. Kickoff for the Baylor game is 2:30 p.m.
