This spring, Austin's Bloody Mary Festival relaunched as a boozy alternative to our usual weekend brunch plans — but if you missed it, an entirely new event toasting the Bloody Mary comes to town this fall.

The Bloody Mary Festival is a nationwide cocktail festival spreading the gospel of the quintessential day drink and hits Austin on Nov. 11, when ticket holders can sample a variety of Bloody Marys from local bars, restaurants and Bloody Mary mix makers. Tickets to the festival are $45 for general admission, $55 for VIP, and will benefit the Boneshaker Project.

During the fest, which runs from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. in two separate sessions on Nov. 11, you'll be able to sample each Bloody Mary before voting on your favorite as part of the People's Choice Award. A panel of industry judges will also choose which participating vendor has the "best Bloody Mary in Austin." Here are the participants:

Yellow Jacket Social Club
South Congress Café
Hi Hat Public House
Hillside Farmacy
Lustre Pearl
Snooze, an AM Eatery
L’Oca d’Oro
Barbecue Wife
Madge’s Food Company
The Bloody Buddy
1934 BBQ
Hill Country Distillers
Bloody Revolution

Austin has a deep love of brunch, so the Bloody Mary Festival is right up our alley. A couple of the bars and restaurants hoping for your vote at the festival next month have already been included in the Statesman's round-up of the 12 best places in town to get a proper Bloody Mary, and we've also written about some of the locally made Bloody Mary mixes, including Barbecue Wife, the Bloody Buddy and Bloody Revolution — in case you want to read up on what to expect at the festival. Are you salivating yet?

In addition to Bloody Marys, the event will have food and drinks from Krave Jerky, BarkThins, Skinny Pop, K Tonic Kombucha and more. More Bloody Mary and food purveyors may be announced in the weeks ahead as well.

The Bloody Mary Festival will take place at Fair Market, 1100 E. Fifth St. For more information, including ticket reservations, visit thebloodymaryfest.com.
