The completely pink cafe-on-wheels rolls into Barton Creek Square on Saturday.
The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck has a knack for returning to Austin on festival weekends. Earlier this year, it made a stop during South by Southwest, and now it's about to draw the crowds again on another one-day stop into town on Saturday, during the first weekend of Austin City Limits Festival.
There's something clearly timeless about the pink-loving Sanrio cartoon.
Fans of Hello Kitty can expect another round of “exclusive goodies and limited-edition collectibles,” such as a giant Hello Kitty chef cookie, a lunchbox with confetti popcorn, a Hello Kitty plush toy and a petit fours box set. Other beloved, returning items you can find include thermal bottles, a bow headband, a five-piece macaron box set, and Hello Kitty Cafe T-shirts in both youth and adult sizes.
Look for the truck from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 6 at Barton Creek Square, specifically near Men's Warehouse at 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy. Yes, it'll be that giant, entirely pink bus with a bunch of people crowded in front of it.
After the Austin stop, the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will continue onto El Paso on Oct. 13.
