Danielle Bregoli … excuse me, Bhad Bhabie … will be performing just down Interstate 35 in late April, if you have a thing for squeaky rap or train wrecks.
If the name sounds familiar, but you’re having a hard time placing her, let’s look back to Bregoli’s 15 minutes of fame:
Yes, she is the “Cash Me Outside” girl.
Bregoli, improbably still only 14 years old, rose to — well, “fame” is too strong a word — prominence after her September 2016 appearance on the Dr. Phil show. Within a year, she had released her first rap song, “These Heaux” — which is decidedly not Cajun-influenced.
Despite the fact that her delivery bears a resemblance to a self-serious pre-pubescent boy hopped up on Halloween candy, Atlantic Records signed her multi-album recording contract.
Performing now as Bhad Bhabie, Bregoli will be in San Antonio on April 27, performing at The Rock Box. Opening is Asian Doll. So far we don’t know what the more talented 20-year-old Dallas native thinks about opening for, uh, Bhabie.
(If you’re booked, you can also catch Bhad Bhabie in Dallas on April 28 and Houston on April 29 as part of the Bhanned in the USA Tour.)
No doubt, Bhabie will perform her highest-charting song “Hi Bich” (the bass line brings to mind an industrial accident) and “Mama Don’t Worry” (which strongly evokes the phrase Auto-Tune Smurfs).
Ticket prices haven’t been released yet, but there is an option for a “Meet & Greet Package” which includes a personal photograph and Q&A with Bhad Bhabie herself and a “Specially designed Bhad Bhabie beanie” for VIP guests only.
How ‘bout dat?
