Watch Jared Padalecki do a keg stand with beer from Jensen Ackles’ Texas brewery

There’s nothing like celebrating your 35th birthday by doing a keg stand for all the world to see while Conan O’Brien helpfully holds the tap for you.

Jared Padalecki, along with his “Supernatural” co-star and fellow Austin resident Jensen Ackles, made an appearance on “Conan” yesterday for the late-night talk show’s week-long stint at Comic-Con. The actors gave scoop about their long-running CW show — but perhaps the best part was seeing Padalecki upside down, doing that keg stand.

It wasn’t just a keg of Keystone, either. Ackles announced that it came from Family Business Beer Co., the new brewery he and his family, including brother-in-law Gino Graul, plan to open in the Dripping Springs area very soon. He brought it as a surprise to help Padalecki celebrate his birthday — kegs being a key part of how the two co-stars and friends say happy birthday (a very happy birthday indeed).

"My family and I are opening up a craft brewery in Austin at the end of the summer, and this is the very first keg ever kegged and was driven out from Austin, Texas,” Ackles said as Padalecki began to remove his blazer, in anticipation of what was coming.

“I thought this was a stupid stunt; now it’s just a plug!” O’Brien’s sidekick Andy Richter quipped in response.

Apparently, Ackles and Padalecki have had a tradition of celebrating each other’s birthdays by sneaking kegs into each other’s trailers on the set of “Supernatural,” which is approaching its 13th season.

“When we were done filming!” Padalecki added.

Ackles urged the birthday boy to take it up a notch and do a keg stand: “Only in a fraternity is it OK to do — or if you’re on the Conan O’Brien show.”
