TODAY: ‘Rick and Morty’ fans: The Rickmobile is coming to help Austin get schwifty

Face front, “Rick and Morty” nation. The cult hit Adult Swim series has a truck shaped like main character/mad scientist Rick Sanchez, and it will travel. Across the United States, to be specific, including a stop in Austin.

Billed as the world’s biggest Rick “that’s actually a truck, but also a store,” the Rickmobile’s cross-country trek will stop at the South Lamar location of Alamo Drafthouse from 6-9 p.m. on Sept. 12.

Other Texas stops on its journey through time and space but actually just America, all at Alamo Drafthouse locations: 

  • El Paso (Sept. 9)
  • Dallas (Sept. 11)
  • New Braunfels (Sept. 13)

  • Corpus Christi (Sept. 16)
  • Sept. 18 (Katy)
