Welp, it’s too late now, as Carl’s Jr., of all places has made Mr. McConaughey the voice of Carl’s Jr.
In a press release that starts with the admittedly ballsy phrase “Carl’s Jr. has been impossible to ignore lately,” publicists for the burger joint announce "its first standalone brand campaign powered by the voice of actor Matthew McConaughey.”
Which prompted absolutely everyone who saw it to think, “Please let Wooderson play a talking hamburger in something.” (Ad folks, get at me.)
In case you, the people who aren’t in advertising, wonder how these folks think, this press release also contains the following:
“Carl’s Jr. culinary experts have spent countless nights trying to crack the code behind what we crave and when, and I can finally report they’ve uncovered a new type of craving! Known as “associative craving,” it occurs when we yearn for food that has a rich, meaningful connection to a personal experience.”
