Celebrate National Dog Day (and help out the ASPCA) with a special screening at the Alamo Drafthouse

The list of arbitrary national holidays is long, but here’s one I can get behind.

Aug. 26 is National Dog Day, and the Alamo Drafthouse is celebrating with encore screenings of “Isle of Dogs,” the Wes Anderson movie that closed out this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival.

The screenings will include the return of “Dogs”-themed menu specials, giveaways and a recorded message from  Anderson and “Isle” co-star Bob Balaban.

In Austin, you can catch it at the Alamo South Lamar; tickets are already on sale. Ten percent of ticket sales will be donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
