Matthew McConaughey enjoyed some Wild Turkey in Austin last night, because of course he did

Last year, prince of Austin Matthew McConaughey was named spokesperson for Wild Turkey, and he’s been shamelessly plugging the Kentucky bourbon ever since. He even made his directorial debut with a commercial (further sweetening his role as a University of Texas film professor) and met with an Esquire reporter at the bar where the commercial was filmed.

So of course he spent his Thursday night in Austin rocking a new mustache and a fancy Western shirt while plugging his favorite bourbon at the Mack, Jack & McConaughey charity event, the annual event hosted by the Oscar-winner alongside his two buddies, former University of Texas head football coach Mack Brown and Texas country singer Jack Ingram.

Last night’s event featured a performance from Little Big Town Miranda Lambert, and Friday night’s event will feature performances by Ingram and country music legend Kris Kristofferson, among others. The money raised at the events over the years have benefited children’s charities, according to organizers.
