Five places that are actually hotter than Austin today

Listen, folks: It’s Austin. It’s July. IT IS GOING TO BE HOT. It is going to be hot for several more months. Best to just hunker down, find some air conditioning or a large water feature and get used to it.

But I’ll grant you, it is particularly hot right now. Austin is under an excessive heat warning today with an expected high of 107 degrees, after an already scorching weekend.

But even though it might feel like we’re in the hottest place on earth right now, there are a few spots that have us beat.
