The second Austin location of Halcyon, a Warehouse District staple in downtown Austin, is now serving up coffee, cocktails and comfort food during breakfast, lunch and dinner in the ever-growing Mueller neighborhood.
Expect many of the same food and drink options at the new Halcyon as at the one downtown — including the do-it-yourself s’mores and the coffee cocktails that have made the brand so beloved. But one thing that’s different at the second local spot, adjacent to the Thinkery in the Aldrich Street District of Mueller, is an expanded kitchen.
Expect items like breakfast tacos, Overnight French Toast and an açai bowl during the weekday a.m. hours and bigger meals like the Pineapple Express sandwich and Holy Frijoli black bean burger for lunch and dinner. Halcyon also offers weekend brunch. Enjoy your later meals with caffeinated cocktails like the Chocolate Espresso Martini and Long Island Iced Coffee.
Designed by Maker Architects — also the visionaries behind such modern spaces as salad-happy restaurant Vinaigrette — Halcyon in Mueller has an extensive outdoor patio and a bright, airy interior with plenty of seating, including couches and long tables.
Halcyon will host a grand opening celebration on Oct. 6 with food and drink specials. The coffee shop and cocktail lounge is now open daily from 7 a.m. to midnight at 1905 Aldrich St., next door to Stella Public House, an extension of Stella Italian restaurant in San Antonio.
