So you’ve got a new boyfriend or girlfriend. Or just somebody you really like. Or you’re trying to freshen things up with your longtime partner. Regardless of what (or who) you fancy, this definitive list of great Austin date ideas (which we’ll keep updated as we think of more) is for you.

  1. Tour one of Austin’s many breweries, wineries or distilleries.
  2. Go rollerskating at Playland.
  3. Go to a drive-in movie.
  4. Go on a ghost tour downtown.
  5. Go to a concert at one of Austin’s legendary live music venues.
  6. Go for a hike on one of Austin’s many trails.
  7. Go to a reading at BookPeople (or just go buy some books). 
  8. Take cutesy photos in front of Austin’s iconic murals.
  9. Get cultured at the Blanton Museum of Art.
  10. Learn how to salsa dance.
  11. Go bowling (and scarf down some cheese enchiladas) at Dart Bowl.
