Texas Early Music Project hires director

Ramping up its organization, the Texas Early Music Projectis has hired its first managing director. Allison Welch joins artist director Daniel Johnson to helm the non-profit music group.

Welch holds a doctorate in musicology and has arts administration experience. She is also a performer on both Baroque and modern oboe.

TEMP begins its season Sept. 21-22 with “TEMP Goes to the Opera: Aires and Arias from the 16th to the 18th Centuries.” See
