Bullock Museum to offer free first Sundays

On July 7, the Bullock Texas State History Museum kicks off its Free First Sunday program with free admission the first Sunday of every month.

The museum had previously offered free admission the first Saturday of the month.

The Bullock also kicks off its annual Music Under the Stars series of free Friday happy shows in the month of July on the museum’s front plaza. Concerts are 6 to 9 p.m. each Friday and the museum is open free of charge during the time to concert-goers.

Butch Hancock kicks of the series July 5. The series also includes performances by Elana James, with opening act The Katie Holmes Project, on July 12; Grupo Fantasma with opener La Guerilla on July 19; and Guy Forsyth on July 26, with Jean Synodinos opening the show.
