With live music venues in Austin largely shuttered amid the coronavirus pandemic, the Austin American-Statesman and austin360.com have compiled a list of local acts playing livestreamed virtual concerts.
Most performers list donation options in their livestream; please give what you can to support their efforts in this difficult time. We’re continuously updating this list, so if you’d like to submit an event, do that here: AUSTIN360 LIVESTREAM LIST EVENT SUBMISSION FORM

Monday: Oscar Ornelas, 8 p.m. facebook.com/oscarornelas512, TV Channel 16 and supportaustinmusic.com/channel-16. With a voice that booms with gritty soul as he tickles rollicking melodies out of Korg keyboard that sounds like an old roadhouse piano, Ornelas evokes a bygone era when the blues were king. A few months ago, he was keeping Monday nights hopping at East Austin hideaway Stay Gold. Now, as we social distance at home, he’s teamed up with the Austin Blues Society and Austin Blues Radio to produce a virtual version of the show, with a mix of bluesy originals, classic tunes and fun surprises. — D.S.S.

On his 1 p.m. "20 Question Tuesdays" show, he interviews a variety of guest artists; this month they include Ruthie Foster (Sept. 15), Carolyn Wonderland (Sept. 22) and Ray Wylie Hubbard (Sept. 29). After a midday break, he returns at 8 p.m. with "From Here to There," featuring solo performances of his own songs and choice covers. Tuesday: Eric Bettencourt, 7 p.m., facebook.com/eric.bettencourt
Tuesday: Miles Zuniga, 7 p.m., facebook.com/mileszunigalovesyou. You may know him as one-third of Fastball or a comparatively recent ringleader in the Resentments collective, but Zuniga has also played plenty of solo shows since he first surfaced on the Austin scene in the 1980s. His Tuesday livestreams are filled with good songs, memorable stories and Zuniga’s affable charm (plus guest-spots and harmony vocals from KB Imle). — P.B.
Tuesday: Sarah Sharp, 7 p.m., facebook.com/sarahsharpatx. An alumna of our Austin360 Residency of the Month series, the low-key jazz vocalist is using livestreams to extend the Tuesday happy-hour shows she’d been doing at downtown jazz haven the Elephant Room for a few years. Sharp has gathered her ace supporting cast of guitarist Mitch Watkins, drummer Masumi Jones and upright bassist Kristopher Wade for front-yard concerts bathed in the natural twilight of an Austin spring season. — P.B.

Brazilian artist Frederico Geib goes live from his garage, which he calls the Lion’s Lair, with live looping and trilingual chats in English, Spanish and Portuguese. For several years, Geib has organized Austin Brazil Day at the Sahara Lounge during SXSW. — Nancy Flores
Wednesday: Will Taylor & Strings Attached, 1 p.m., facebook.com/StringsAttached
Wednesday: Christopher John Edwards, 4:22 p.m., facebook.com/christopher.j.edwards.16. For years, the leader of the Funk Fellowship, hosted the Butter N Jam every Wednesday night from the funky little Eastside dive Dozen Street. The club closed in January as owner Madi Distefano decided to move on to other ventures. He’s been logging on every Wednesday to share some tracks he’s been working on and flex his formidable pipes. — D.S.S.
Wednesday: Hanna Barakat, 5 p.m., facebook.com/hannabarakatmusic
Wednesday: Pat Byrne, 5 p.m., facebook.com/PatByrneOfficial. One of our Austin360 Artists of the Month last year, Byrne moved from Ireland to Austin at the beginning of 2019 and quickly became a fixture on the local club scene with a songwriting style that’s as in-tune with the American masters as it is with the traditional Irish fare he plays with local side-project band Ulla. His recent livestreams have included occasional guest spots by Byrne’s significant other, Samantha Della Fave. — P.B.
Wednesday: Bruce Smith, 6 p.m., facebook.com/bruce.smith.33821
Wednesday: Micah Motenko & Dana Marie, 6 p.m., facebook.com/Motenkomusic. A soulful keyboardist and singer-songwriter who had a strong weekly residency rolling with his band at Stay Gold pre-pandemic, Motenko has been doing livestreams from home with upright bassist Dana Marie. He recently released a single, "Silhouette," with an EP expected to follow later this year. — P.B.

She says she’s enjoying the weekly check-ins so much that she hopes to continue them after the pandemic is over. — D.S.S.
Wednesday: Matt Hubbard, 7 p.m., facebook.com/matthubbardmusic. A keyboardist and producer who’s worked with many acts, including Willie Nelson and Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, Hubbard played every Wednesday at C-Boy’s in pre-pandemic times. Wednesday: Gina Chavez, 8 p.m., facebook.com/ginachavezmusic. This award-winning musician’s charisma oozes through the screen as she creates fun and interactive livestreams where viewers can even help her write songs on the spot. We love the insight her livestreams give into her creative process. It’s also fun seeing cameos by her wife, Jodi Granado, the engine of the band and inspiration behind some of Chavez’s songs. — Nancy Flores

Wednesday: Mau Mau Chaplains, 8:30 p.m., facebook.com/flamingocantina. If you’re missing Dreadneck Wednesdays at Austin’s home for reggae, Flamingo Cantina, or you’re just looking for some irie vibes to liven your social distancing, these Austin music lifers have taken the party online. Back in the olden days before quarantines, you could catch the husband-wife team of guitarist Monsees and drummer Buck most Wednesday nights at Antone’s. That routine will resume eventually, but in the meantime, they’re kicking out the jams at home on Thursdays, while they wait for the chance to also reopen Antone’s Record Shop, which they’ve run for years. If you want to hear the kind of classic blues, R&B and old-school rock & roll you might have caught on the late Paul Ray’s beloved "Twine Time" radio show, this livestream’s for you. — P.B.

A native Austinite who’s been a fixture on the Austin scene since the 1980s rise of his country band the Wagoneers, Warden turned toward classic crooner-styled pop-jazz when he formed the Dangerous Few several years ago. He’s been playing material from both bands and from his many solo albums. The stripped-down solo-acoustic setting works well for Warden because the root of his music has always been the strength of the songwriting; it’s the reason you may notice gold and platinum records on his wall as he plays these intimate sets from his living room, thanks to versions of his tunes cut by the likes of George Strait. — P.B.

Saturday: Stephen Carolan, 2 p.m., facebook.com/scarolan11. Hailing from Ireland, Carolan came to Texas last year along with Pat Byrne, in whose band he plays guitar and contributes harmony vocals. When Byrne and Carolan teamed with longtime local Rich Brotherton and Beat Root Revival’s Andrea Magee in the trad-Irish outfit Ulla last year, it offered a first glimpse into hearing Carolan front-and-center on the occasional song. That, in turn, has helped inspire Carolan to do solo livestream shows, and the results so far have been a revelation. Though he’s playing mostly cover tunes, his choices are often fascinating, and it has quickly become apparent that Carolan is one of Austin’s best singers. He recently returned to Ireland but is still doing livestreams, switching his previous Monday slot for a regular show on Saturday afternoons. — P.B.
Saturday: Suzanna Choffel, 3 p.m., facebook.com/suzannachoffelmusic. The singer-songwriter and Sun Radio DJ heads out to the idyllic garden at Cosmic Cafe for an acoustic set every Saturday. It’s a chance for her to escape, explore her musical range and help raise money for the cafe’s employees who were laid off when the favorite South Austin hangout had to close. — D.S.S.
Saturday: DJ Mel’s Living Room Dance Party, 6-10 p.m., facebook.com/DJ-Mel-48330349120. In mid-March, when SXSW should have been in full swing but Austinites were hunkered down at home instead, DJ Mel took to the turntables to host the first edition of this virtual body rockathon. Thousands tuned in from around the country. Expecting to play for a handful of "Austin homies," he was "shocked" by the response, he told the American-Statesman while combing through 17,000 comments on his Facebook Live post. He’s made the jam a regular affair, using radio edits of rap favorites to keep the livestream family-friendly. — D.S.S.
Saturday: Afro Jazz (from Sahara Lounge), 8 p.m., facebook.com/saharaloungeatx
Saturday: Mandy Prater, 9 p.m., facebook.com/MandyPraterMusic
Saturday: Kevin Russell, 9 p.m., facebook.com/ShinyribsOfficial. Saturday: Than, 10 p.m., twitch.tv/itsyourmanthan
Sunday: Corey Baum, 11 a.m., facebook.com/CroyAndTheBoys. An Austin360 Artist of the Month alum, Baum usually plays and records with his band Croy & the Boys, but like everyone else, he’s adapted to different circumstances. His new album "The COVID Tapes" includes the pandemic-centric single "Ain’t Been Tested," in which he assumes the persona of a coronavirus naysayer who’s developed a cough and a fever but won’t quarantine. — P.B.
Sunday: Graham Wilkinson, noon, facebook.com/GrahamWilkinsonMusicFanPage

Its images of hometown hot spots and familiar faces offer a refreshing reminder of the music community’s value to the city. — P.B.
Sunday: Jenny Reynolds, 5 p.m., facebook.com/austinjennyreynolds
