Gwendolyn Kelso plays the potent titular character in this new adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s classic, as staged by Austin Shakespeare. Will Hedda succumb to forbidden desire or enjoy the breezy life of a model wife?

Recently recognized by the Latin Recording Academy as one of the 2019 “leading ladies of entertainment,” Downs has a storied career that includes 14 albums, one Grammy Award and six Latin Grammys. Since her first release in 1994, she’s been a champion of indigenous Mexican languages and folkloric music styles. 3. Insights: Live Bronze Pour & Sculpture Sponsor Launch

One of the Umlauf Sculpture Garden’s most popular events of the year, this Insights program provides a behind-the-scenes look at the lost wax-casting technique Charles Umlauf used for his bronze works. Deep in the Heart Art Foundry will go through the stages of creating a bronze sculpture, culminating in a live bronze pour. The Umlauf will also celebrate the launch of the 2020 Sculpture Sponsor program.

The North Austin restaurant might have opened in October, but it’s only getting around to a proper celebration now. At the grand opening party, there will be complimentary small bites, a taste of the refreshed beverage menu and a small roundup of local vendors including SunUp CBD and Spread & Co with their own goods. There will even be a few ex-players from the NFL Players Association to meet and greet.
