Since 2011, Lucy’s Fried Chicken has been one of the most reliable places to catch free day parties during South by Southwest. Lucy’s will celebrate its 10th SXSW with a typically strong lineup, a mix of touring acts such as Chuck Prophet and the Dream Syndicate with top-draw locals including Shinyribs and Ray Wylie Hubbard.

All the action happens at the restaurant’s 2218 College Ave. location, just off of South Congress near Oltorf. Other highlights of this year’s lineup, which runs from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday, March 18-22, include the Mastersons, the John Doe Folk Trio, Fastball, Ian Moore, Western Youth with Jaimee Harris, and a collaborative set between Shannon McNally and Charlie Sexton (the latter billed as “the Sexton Show”).
