Fresh off his performance over the weekend on NBC’s "Saturday Night Live," country star Luke Combs was announced today as the headliner for Austin’s eighth annual Mack, Jack & McConaughey fundraising gala on April 23 at ACL Live.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, via Ticketmaster. Ticket prices have not yet been announced.

Started in 2013 by then-Texas Longhorns football coach Mack Brown, Oscar-winning actor Matthew McConaughey and singer-songwriter Jack Ingram, the two-day event also includes a golf tournament plus a runway show and luncheon the day after the concert. Funds raised benefit organizations dedicated to children’s education, health, and wellness, including CureDuchenne, Dell Children’s Medical Center, HeartGift, Just Keep Livin’ Foundation and the Rise School of Austin. Full details are at the MJ&M website.

Combs, a North Carolinian who released his second album, "What You See Is What You Get," in November, was among the Best New Artist nominees at last month’s Grammy Awards. His previous Austin appearances have included last year’s Willie Nelson Fourth of July Picnic at Circuit of the Americas, the 2018 iHeartCountry Fest at the Erwin Center, and the 2017 Austin City Limits Music Festival.
