One of the biggest music events held during the week of South by Southwest in recent years, the Luck Reunion will return to Willie Nelson’s Luck, TX property in Spicewood on March 19. If you’d like to attend, it’s worth setting your sights on the Feb. 13 "Lucky Draw Live" event at Antone’s, a free early-evening show with performances by Glorietta and Katie Pruitt that also will allow hopeful festgoers a chance to buy tickets.

Here’s how it’ll work, according to a Friday press release from Luck Reunion’s publicist: "Starting at 6:00 PM, attendees can obtain a scratch-off lottery ticket (while supplies last), which will dictate, by color, a designated area to line up for entry. At 7:00 PM a Roulette wheel will be spun with both colors/lines represented: those holding lottery tickets with the color the wheel lands on will be able to automatically purchase a maximum of two (2) tickets to Luck Reunion (while stock lasts). Those who don't get lucky with tickets onsite will gain priority entry to the venue for the concert and will be entered into a raffle offering additional ticketing opportunities, merch, and more."

Tickets to the Luck Reunion are $100 each. While that’s not cheap, it’s a reasonable price for an event that generally runs from around noon until Nelson’s closing set well after dark, and typically features some of the biggest acts in Austin for SXSW. Last year’s lineup included about three dozen acts performing on four stages, with marquee names including Shakey Graves, Mavis Staples, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Hayes Carll and Yola. This year’s lineup will be revealed at the Lucky Draw Live event.

For those who can’t attend Lucky Draw Live, there will still be one more opportunity to get a chance to purchase tickets, via online email lottery. Check the festival’s website and its social media pages for more details as they’re made available.
